Inside control rooms, on the docks and out at sea, cameras capture the expertise and split-second decisions behind this nonstop operation. Border Force officers hunt for drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, and illegal animals concealed in vehicles, while police intercept stolen cars, caravans, and parts destined for overseas markets. Engineers tackle the maintenance challenges that keep essential vessels running, including Dover’s 45-tonne RNLI lifeboats.
