Game Of Wool

Hosted by Olympic diver and knitting obsessive Tom Daley, Game of Wool is a joyful craft competition where amateur knitters compete in a series of aspirational challenges, all vying to be crowned the ultimate winner.

Set against the charming Scottish landscape, the competition takes place inside an extraordinary Yarn Barn, where a diverse cast of knitters spanning all ages and backgrounds come together to prove what can be achieved with two needles and a ball of wool.

Each episode features two complementary challenges. The Technical Knit tests precision and technique, showcasing the extraordinary skill behind classic knitwear. The Creative Knit challenges contestants to dream up original designs that demonstrate their creativity, individuality and flair. Both challenges explore the rich stories behind the craft, from social history and heritage to the provenance of wool.

Season One creations were judged by renowned knitwear designer Di Gilpin and her wing woman Sheila Greenwell. Season Two brings a brand new judging panel whose expertise, wit and passion, combined with Tom Daley’s infectious enthusiasm, make for an even more irresistible judging team.

At the end of every episode, one outstanding knitter wins the coveted Sheep of the Week badge, while another is Cast Off.
