Season 11 kicks off in the Summer of ’63, and Alphy is uncovering long-buried truths about his past, realising he could have lived an entirely different life. As he questions his identity and beliefs, he also grows closer to Meg, the Bishop’s daughter.

Geordie, meanwhile, is enjoying rare peace. Cathy’s thriving as CeCe’s Fashion Boutique goes from strength to strength, and the children are independent at last. But when the Chief Superintendent offers him a new role, Geordie must decide between stepping into leadership or risking the end of his crime-solving days and his partnership with Alphy.

At the halfway house, Leonard begins to reflect on his purpose. Helping care for young Raymond, the son of an ill neighbour, reveals a paternal side he never knew he had.

In the final ever series of Grantchester, themes of family, forgiveness, identity and faith come to the fore, with life-changing decisions ahead.
