Over a year has passed since Season Two. Eliza (Emma Hamilton) is now a key part of the Broken Hill team, close to Chaya (Emma Harvie) and Taylor (Sofia Nolan), and in a new relationship with Ryan (Rick Davies). She’s also been Taylor’s doctor, helping manage her worsening kidney condition, only to discover Taylor is unexpectedly pregnant.

Meanwhile, Pete (Stephen Peacocke) has been in Adelaide, retraining after his suspension. He’s avoided returning home, straining ties with the team, except Matty (Jack Scott) who is now thriving as Senior Nurse. Wayne (Rob Collins) is furious Pete left, and Leonie (Justine Clarke) is battling staff shortages and contract pressures.

In Season Three, tragedy strikes, triggering a chain reaction: mental health struggles, addiction, amputation, and retribution. As the RFDS team becomes deeply entangled in their patients’ lives, they must confront personal crossroads and make life-altering choices about their futures and who they want beside them.
