Italy’s regions go head-to-head on the plate

In each episode of this brand new culinary adventure, the host Joe Bastiannich explores a different city of Italy in search of the ultimate version of an iconic dish.
The featured dish is reimagined by four chefs, each presenting a unique interpretation — a hamburger, for example, can be gourmet, plated, smashed, or even vegetarian. Joe, joined by a local celebrity guest, first visits the initial chef to learn the recipe and taste the dish. Then, together with this contestant, he moves on to the second chef for another tasting. After sampling both, Joe and his guest must decide which chef will continue the journey with them. The same process unfolds with the third and fourth chefs. After the final tasting, the host announces the winner of the episode.
