Compelling insight into the extraordinary work of the RNLI’s volunteers – and what it takes to save lives
Season 10: 10 x 60'
Seasons 1-9: 64 x 60'
Back for its tenth series, Saving Lives At Sea captures some of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s (RNLI) most incredible rescues through the eyes of its unsung heroes. Featuring dramatic footage captured by lifeboat crews, each episode brings to life the unfolding drama around UK and Ireland’s coastlines.
This series features some of the RNLI’s most extraordinary recent rescues, including a 10-year-old boy swept out to sea on a paddleboard; a kayaker who’s suffered a broken neck; a trawler caught in the worst storm to hit the south coast in fifty years; a yacht smashed to pieces on the rocks; and a major incident involving a small boat – and mass casualties – in the middle of the English Channel.
