This spectacular prime time studio-based show, set in a dramatic gallery-like set, sees teams of highly acclaimed chefs battle it out to create the ultimate gallery-worthy piece of art – that tastes mind-blowingly out of this world.
In teams of two, they will compete in the most creative challenges, with each showcasing a different produce or culinary technique, and drawing inspiration from unique pieces of art. Their imagination and yours will run wild. This is the most creative, inspirational culinary challenge ever to be seen on television.
From the forest floor, to the depths of the ocean – to artistic inspiration from galleries, artists, and sculpture parks – challenges feature light, sound, colour, sculpture and tease / test all the senses. The creations have to be seen to be believed. Teams will push their culinary skills, techniques, and themselves – to go to the edge of what we can possibly imagine with cuisine…
Working in the bespoke Taste of Art Kitchen, teams have full access to any piece of equipment and any exotic ingredient they desire to ensure their gallery-worthy dish that has perfect flavour. Our exceptionally high calibre judges – renowned Australian food critic and presenter Melissa Leong, and 44th ranked chef in the world with the #1 ranked Best Chef Dining Experience in the world restaurant, Vaughan Mabee of Amisfield NZ , are on hand to provide advice but ultimately to assess the creations based on taste, story, creativity and design.
