Each episode begins with the wives (or husbands) arriving at their new homes and meeting their temporary families. Aided only by an instruction manual left by their predecessor, they must spend the first week living according to the rules of the house, often prompting the question: How do people live like this? In week two, expect big changes, as they get to run the household as they see fit.
At the end of the two weeks, the contributors and their spouses have a summit meeting. Did the experience confirm that they’ve got it just right and make them feel grateful for their own family? Or was it an eye-opener, a major catalyst to convince them to make some long overdue changes when they get back home?
