Season 1: 8 x 60'
Once a respected doctor with a happy family, Vittoria Greco lost everything when her husband, Leonardo, died in a mountain accident – and she was convicted of his murder. After eight years in prison, still protesting her innocence, Vittoria returns to San Martino di Castrozza determined to rebuild her life and reconnect with Matteo, the teenage son raised by her late husband’s family.
But the close-knit community has neither forgiven nor forgotten. Ostracised by the village and fiercely opposed by Leonardo’s relatives, Vittoria finds support only from a loyal few, including her friend Iman, and Diego, a mountain guide once rumoured to be her lover. When she meets Marco Premoli, a lawyer searching for his missing daughter, their investigations lead them back to Leonardo’s death – and reveal a dangerous connection between their pasts.
